We Indians have a particular fondness for jewellery. Though, it is not only for the obvious reason that jewellery is made of precious stones and metals and have its own monetary value, but it is very part of our tradition and there we seem to have no comparison, and which even surpasses the monetary consideration. This is also quite visible from the fact that we are the largest consumer of jewellery made of gold, though India is behind China when it comes to actual gold consumption. So, we reflect our gold and richness through our love for jewellery which is a unique example in the world.
